Smoke on the Water
This was an incredible experience to capture! When the temperature drops to very cold extremes, the difference between the ocean’s surface and the air will create sea smoke. It starts small and low and increases as the sun rises until the harbor is engulfed in an eerie looking yet beautiful smoke. This image was captured from Willard Beach looking toward fishing shacks and including Portland Head Light, Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
